Our top Ocean Isle Beach rental booking tips:

Get the most from your spending budget:

  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Booking your rental property up to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your vacation in Fall or Spring months to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which will include special deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Start by having your group decide on trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Beach Club with Pool Access has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book the vacation property. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others do not. Acceptable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you love, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental home. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental property while you are away! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • Upon arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome vacationers disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Use the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Just before checking out, complete a final walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
