Tips for getting the best Carolina Beach rental home experience:

When to go & When to book:

  • Summer is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area vacation in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines contain coupons for nearby tours and attractions.

Choosing and booking your prefectrental:

  • Start by selecting your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Beach view home in walking distance to public beach access & with private pool.. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, contact the host before you reserve the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what configuration is best for your family.
  • Looking for special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your group is bringing pets, search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Document any damages to the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of concerns.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a fantastic resource to find the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to launch your kayaks, have a great night out, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your group have a fantastic vacation? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
