Our delightful beach home has an unobstructed view of the ocean from the kitchen, living room as well as from covered deck. The beach is just across the street with public beach access. It is very light airy feel inside. A 9' sliding panel glass door has been installed beach side. The kitchen has been refreshed with new stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, granite counter tops, backsplash, breakfast bar and a second drink refrigerator downstairs. New furnishings and beds in all rooms, flat screen TV in the living room and one bedroom. New lighting throughout. Welcome to the "new feel" 82 E 2nd Street. Make yourselves feel at home. Located on the corner of East Second Street and Concord Street. This home is right across the public beach access and is just a few blocks from the center of the island, with eateries, stores and mini golf. Appreciate an evening walk to local eateries, stores, pier and entertainment.

How to book the best Ocean Isle Beach vacation property experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer time is high season in the Cape Fear area area. To book the largest rental within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses.   • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can typically help. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Remember to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on good reviews to stimulate future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
