Finding the best rental home experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, shift your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Booking your rental home six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a special rate.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which often include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • To start, have your group decide on dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Carolina Beach Cottage, Steps from Beach, Modern Renovation has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before you book your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to determine which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you love, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Make certain to ask about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional fees or could be applied to your contract.

Advice for a great stay:

  • We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your property and/or property management company was terrific, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
