Tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation home experience:

Getting the best rental value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in the Cape Fear area area. To book the best vacation home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons. You'll enjoy lower rental rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Some property management companies offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites typically offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose and book your prefect Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Choose vacation week and spending budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration you need. Sprawling Sound Front Home w Boat Slip has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is almost always available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property management company before booking the vacation property. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or may be applied to your invoice.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you simply love, look for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Additional considerations:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out. Protect your property!
  • During check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately contact the owner. Keep records of all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your peace and quiet. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your group have a excellent stay? Most rental websites make it easy for customers to provide feedback. If your property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
