Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Ocean Isle Beach vacation rental experience:

Getting the best value:

  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. To find the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer excellent temperatures, fewer crowds, and reduced traffic.
  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules generally become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer vacations during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Selecting and booking a perfectrental home:

  • Start by choosing your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Cottagevacations4u \"Island Dunes\" Villa ocean view- elevator- pool club-pickleball-tennis has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally available on booking websites. If they are not listed, call the property owner before you reserve the property. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Looking for specific amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking.
  • If your group is vacationing with pets, you'll need to find a property that allows animals. Ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners require additional pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Upon check-in, record any damages to the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or kitchen appliance. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like loud visitors bothering your life at home. Employ the golden rule for common sense. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would've never otherwise known!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
