RENOVATED IN MARCH 2024

Dog friendly. Majestic vistas of the Intracoastal Waterway! Swims in the canal, kayaking, fishing from the boat dock! The location provides simple access for ocean-bound or waterway fishing trips including day trips to island beaches close by. The beach is a short 10-min. walk. A huge beach cart is supplied with room for a cooler and beach chairs. There are also 4 beach chairs and a corn hole board available for your use.

When you arrive...
- The prevalent "change-over" day occurred the day before. It is much easier (traffic) to get here.
- Linens are supplied. Not only are the linens supplied, but the BEDS ARE MADE TOO! If RENTED FOR THE ENTIRE WEEK, towels will also be included.
- You discover that all of the basic supplies you will need for your stay are supplied and waiting. Even the spice cabinet is loaded up for your use. Maybe you do not need to go to the store after arrival.
- You have 2 fridges. The downstairs refrigerator is turned down for cold drink storage and has an ice maker. The upstairs refrigerator also has an ice maker and is the place for food storage.
- Since you are arriving on Sunday, not the prevalent "change-over" day, the landing shouldn't be as busy when you go to put your boat in the water. I also suggest loading the boat back on the trailer 11 am and 2 PM on Saturday to avoid the peak time the landing is used.

The front and back decks have been refreshed with cabled railings. There are gathering places on both decks but mainly on the back deck. The back deck has been redesigned to provide more usable space. on the back deck, there is a patio table with seating for 8 people. There is also a picnic table that provides ample seating for 6 people. And there are rockers for people like me who just appreciate sitting out and watching the boat traffic on the canal and intra-coastal waterway.

The kitchen has been completely modernized with new cabinets and countertops. More storage space was added.

The vanities in both bathrooms have been updated.

The old windows have been replaced with "peaceful" and hurricane-rated windows.

Generous living area, 4 bedrooms / 2 baths upstairs / 2 bedrooms / 1 bath downstairs. Sleeps, 13 people. Decks on the front and the canal side of the home upstairs. It also includes a patio and outdoor shower downstairs.

A floating dock at the end of the walkway provides convenient docking space, flounder fishing, or a platform for swims in the canal.

A washer, dryer, AND an additional refrigerator/freezer with an ice maker are included downstairs in the storage room.

There is no need to go anywhere else (by land) after arrival. The patio downstairs includes all of the cooking tools needed (grilles, 2-eye gas burner, etc.) to prepare your own feasts.

Ample parking for 6 cars.

NOTE: There is a $100 Administrative Fee (per booking) added to the price for renting our bungalow. If you report to the owner (by e-mail, text, or phone call) that you DID NOT bring family pets, the $100 administrative fee will be refunded to you after your stay.

Tricks and tips to get the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

When to visit Ocean Isle Beach & When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Booking in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts or promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to purchase trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for additional information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitors guides have money saving offers on local shops and restaurants.

Choosing the perfect vacation rental:

  • Start by having your family select trip dates and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Dog Friendly! Non-Smoking. Cottage w\/Dock and Deep Water Access on Natural Canal has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is generally available online. If not, email the property management company before you reserve the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area beach you long to visit, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair accessibility, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you must reserve a pet-friendly vacation rental. Request specifics on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Be aware that some property managers charge additional pet fees.

Additional considerations:

  • Get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, note any problem areas when you arrive. Make contact with the property manager immediately to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Hosts are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let crooks spoil your trip.
  • Double-check the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave a review! Property owners rely on great reviews to inspire more bookings. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will appreciate that you share your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
