How to book the best Ocean Isle Beach rental home experience:

Finding the best rental value:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in coastal NC. To get the best value, consider changing your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer pleasant temperatures, , and greatly reduced traffic.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation rental six - twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers usually offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Look for your local visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines have offers and deals for nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

How to choose the best vacation rental:

  • Start by choosing your potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group needs. Spacious 5-Bedroom Ocean View Home in Ocean Isle Beach, dock and elevator has 5 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is commonly accessible online. If they are not listed, contact the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area beach you love, search for rentals that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask the host about pet restrictions before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Note any damages to the property during check in, and immediately send them to the host. We especially recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all belongings. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good reviews to compel more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
