Tricks and tips to get the optimal vacation property experience:

When to book & When to go:

  • June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in the Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier you can reserve a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your family qualifies for a special rate.
  • Booking websites often offer customers an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon arrival. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitors guide magazines have coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by selecting your trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Enjoy the ocean breeze and comfortable location for your vacation! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property management company before you reserve the home. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation group.
  • If there's a certain Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for properties that are either near by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Remember to ask your host before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your contract.

Advice for a smooth stay:

  • Add the owner's contact info to your phone. Print and take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few concerns.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Lock your rental while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed everything on check-out day. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest walking through with the host whenever you can. If the property manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Leave feedback! Property owners rely on good ratings to stimulate more bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other families will be thankful you shared your experience find their best rental home. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
