Welcome to Five Fun Seekers! Our goal is to share our vacation home with you, making it a memorable experience full of FUN! Wake up to gorgeous sunrises from the balcony, ocean vistas, and the sound of crashing waves. Located just steps from the beach; and close to eateries, bars, and the boardwalk. Fort Fisher, NC Aquarium, fishing charters, festivals, events, Wilmington, and other attractions make this a year round destination. Condo is on the first floor (avoiding too many stairs)!

• Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
• Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your family.
• Property management companies typically offer customers an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for additional information.
• Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, travel guides have discounts for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

• Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly available on booking websites. If they are not listed, email or call the property manager before reserving the rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
• If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Make sure to ask for details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, hosts charge additional pet fees.
• If there's a specific Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your desires.
• Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Confirm all required amenities are included before booking

• Get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental home.
• Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
• Lock your rental while you're out. Protect your property!
• Document any damages to the rental during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are very helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
• Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
• Upon check-out, complete a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Go through the rental a final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition.
• Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your property and/or host was fantastic, they would love to hear about it. If anything was imperfect and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
