Welcome to Five Fun Seekers! Our goal is to share our vacation home with you, making it a memorable experience full of FUN! Wake up to beautiful sunrises from the balcony, ocean vistas, and the sound of crashing waves. Located just steps from the beach; and close to eateries, bars, and the boardwalk. Fort Fisher, NC Aquarium, fishing charters, festivals, events, Wilmington, and other attractions make this a year round destination. Condo is on the first floor (avoiding too many stairs)!

About the Area

Located in Carolina Beach, this condo is near the beach. Federal Point History Center and Ocean Front Park are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Legion Stadium. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. With motor boating, surfing/body boarding, and fishing nearby, you'll find plenty of adventures in the water.

Sticking to your rental budget:

• Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacations during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are high season in Carolina Beach. To find the best value, try changing your group's vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer excellent weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
• Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
• Property managers typically offer customers an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for additional information.
• Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guides contain money saving offers on local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

• Specific details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking websites. If not, call the host before you book the rental. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
• Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Allowable types of dog or cat, weight and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask your host about pet restrictions before booking.
• Are you visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.

Advice for a wonderful stay:

• Store the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
• Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
• Ensure you protect the owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home while you are gone, just like you would back home.
• Make a record of any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the host. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are very helpful if a dispute is filed.
• Be respectful of your neighbors. Often times, surrounding homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
• Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
• Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all belongings. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Remember to leave a review! Property managers rely on great reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to solve it.
