The covered sound front porch of this 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom upper duplex known as “High Tide” is the ideal setting to appreciate Banks Channel sunsets and boating activities. Savor a picnic under the shade of the shared gazebo located on the dock, just across Waynick Boulevard.

This trendy vacation rental features private decks off the primary bedroom overlooking a peaceful wooded street as well as a sound front deck that has marvelous vistas of the Intracoastal waterway - a great get-away spot for those in need of some rest and relaxation! The primary bedroom has a queen bed with private bathroom and direct access to the deck. A hall bathroom services the two guest bedrooms, both of which are furnished with two twin beds. This home is a great get away spot that has been treasured by fisherman, boaters, and families for years! Tricks and tips to get the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Sticking to a rental home budget:

  • Book your rental property in Fall or Spring months to enjoy beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

How to choose the perfect vacation home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Choose your vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Duplex w Private Sound Front Beach at Low Tide has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is almost always accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property management company before reserving your rental. Note that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area attraction you crave, look for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available before booking
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

Tips for your stay:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during check in. Make contact with the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like unpleasant vacationers disrupting your peace and quiet. Apply the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great local food and places you would've not otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Hosts rely on great ratings to inspire future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will be thankful you shared your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
