Booking the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • The sooner you can book, the better your selection will be. The best vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. To find the best rental home within your budget, we highly recommend reserving in Fall or Spring months. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at popular attractions and restaurants.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your family qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property management companies frequently offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local information, visitor guides contain coupons for local tours, shops, and attractions.

How to pick the best rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to a vacation week and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and the configuration you need. 0514 Double The Pleasure by Atlantic Towers has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually available online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property owner before reserving the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your host before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or might be applied to your contract.
  • Are you looking for particular amenities? Most rental websites include amenity lists and search filters. Amenity filters help you quickly remove less-optimal properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. Remember to confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking

More considerations:

  • Get the owner's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. Put the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, television set or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent a lot of problems.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your trip.
  • To make certain that damages are not attributed to your family's visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas during arrival. message the rental manager immediately to report any issues. If there is a dispute, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Often, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not leave anything behind. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on good ratings to compel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
