Tips for getting the perfect Bald Head Island vacation property experience:

Sticking to a budget:

  • The sooner you can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best vacation rentals are reserved very early. Booking your rental home six to twelve months before your vacation is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, shift your family's Cape Fear area vacation to the Spring or Fall months. May, September, and October offer pleasant temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • Property management companies sometimes offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your group.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great articles, visitors guides have offers and deals for nearby attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Choosing the best rental:

  • Choose dates and budget.
  • Decide how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. New Luxurious Ocean View Oasis on South Beach with 4 Bed 4 Bath Bhi Club has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before you book the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds and bunks.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a pet-friendly rental. Ask for information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Some property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Are you visiting for a specific event or attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Some things to know before you go:

  • Get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home. We recommend storing the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Property managers are there to help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Lock your rental while you're out. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • During check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors disrupting your peaceful neighborhood. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental management companies make it easy for customers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
