Welcome to Sea View - Surf Shack, where gorgeous sea vistas greet you from every window! Al Fresco dining is a breeze on our handsome balcony, overlooking the surf. Escape the busy public beach access points: grab your beach blanket and Yeti and take the private beach access from our modest condo community. Our Surf-themed condo has been completely refreshed and comes furnished with tons of upgrades, yet is still one of the most economical vacation condos on the island! You'll have the best of both worlds at The Surf Shack: Eat quietly at home or take the .7-mile walk on the sand down to The Boardwalk and all the eateries, bars, carnival rides, and nightlife you could want.

Ground Level:
Covered spot under the building for one car, plus a parking lot spot for the second car.  Interior stairwell to the property level. Private community boardwalk to the beach.

Parking:
Parking is limited to 1 midsize car and one additional modest car; must use hang tags. This parking lot is not suitable for SUVs.

Linens - Sheets and Towels will be wrapped in sealed packages and laying on the end of the beds. 

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Things to bring:
Paper towels and toilet paper, trash bags, soaps, detergents, minimal cleaning supplies, and beach towels.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off Season Check-ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am. 
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early or plan to delay your departure.

Pet Policy:
No family pets allowed.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

Discover aquatic wildlife and vegetation at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher or savor a calming ferry ride across the Cape Fear River to a cozy little shopping town called Southport. Take a trip back in time at the Fort Fisher State Historic Site and Museum which features live oak-covered trails and bunkers from the American Civil War. Stroll through the marsh to visit the home of the famed Ft. Fisher Hermit. Or wind down with nature at our two state parks, sure to provide a memorable experience with hiking, fishing, and water activities such as paddle boarding and kayaking, and search for a Venus Flytrap which is native to NC only. As one of North Carolina's most undeveloped beaches, the island offers a unique opportunity to see many diverse coastal wildlife, including pelicans and loggerhead sea turtles, in their natural habitat. During the summer months, the Boardwalk is bustling with the sound of music, carnival rides, bingo, family nights, and events like the weekly fireworks and concert series. Rent a Jeep, bicycle, or golf cart as the most convenient ways to navigate the island. Annual off-season events include the Cape Fear Kite Festival, Christmas by the Sea, and the Island of Lights Festival.

Located in Carolina Beach, this vacation home is on the beach. Carolina Beach Boardwalk is a popular attraction and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School and North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

• Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking your vacation home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer.
• Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner whether your group qualifies for a discount.
• Property management companies typically offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. • Go through the rental a final time and scan for any damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
