Tips and Tricks to get the perfect rental home experience:

When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home & When to go:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation homes are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation rental six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and reserve your rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Cape Fear area area. To get the most suitable rental home within budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Fall or Spring. You'll enjoy lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at your favorite Cape Fear area restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property management companies frequently offer renters an option to obtain trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for details.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great local stories, visitors guides contain offers and deals for nearby accommodations and attractions.

Filter your rental search:

  • Select a group leader, select your vacation dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Hobbs Realty - \"Once Upon A Tide\" offers private pool and Intracoastal Waterway Nature Trail has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is generally accessible on booking websites. If they are not listed, contact the host before you book the vacation home. Remember that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches.
  • Some rental properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all necessary amenities are available and included before booking.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's phone number to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent quite a few issues.
  • Ensure you protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the rental while you are away, just like you would back home.
  • To make certain damages are not linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Get in touch with the property manager right away to relay any damages. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are a terrific source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can typically help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • At departure, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't leave anything behind. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the host whenever you can. If the host is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your property and/or property management company was great, they would love to hear about it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
