One of the few rental homes in the exclusive Palmetto Cove neighborhood, with access to the close by neighborhood dock for fishing and crabbing. The new owners have loaded this home with plenty of sleeping options for up to 12 people. They've flipped the master bedrooms so the entire second floor can be used as the kids dormitory with bunk beds, trundles, games and movies. Ideal for two families to share, with two master bedrooms downstairs, each with their own bath. But even with so many sleeping options, the home doesn't seem busy. There's plenty of room for everybody and the two-story ceiling in the cavernous living room makes the home seem even roomier. Located on a half-acre lot in Palmetto Cove, it's just a fast jaunt to the close by Maritime Market and stores.
So, bring some fighing poles and crab traps and wander down to the dock at the end of the street and catch some dinner.

When to book a Cape Fear area rental & When to go:

• Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are high season in Bald Head Island. To find the largest vacation home within your budget, we suggest reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at popular Cape Fear area attractions and restaurants. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
• Management companies and individual rental owners frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection.
