Tricks and tips to get the very best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

Getting the most from your vacation rental budget:

  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the most suitable rental within your budget, we recommend booking in the Spring or Fall. You'll enjoy lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at local restaurants, tours, and activities.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental homes are reserved very early. Booking your vacation rental up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Some property management companies offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies often offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Choosing the best rental home in Carolina Beach:

  • Choose vacation week and max budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Pleasure Island - 5 Minutes to Beach! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If not, email or call the host before you reserve the property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds.
  • Is your group looking for unique amenities? Most rental search websites include amenity lists and search filters.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Pet fees or may be applied to your invoice.

Tips to have a smooth stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your .
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your stay, inspect the property for any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to record your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors can be an incredible source for finding the best local beaches and restaurants.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect the owner's property and your stuff!
  • On check-out day, complete a final walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property a final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photos of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a fantastic vacation? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
