Strategies to get the very best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Carolina Beach rental home:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Reserving a rental home in the Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some property managers offer rate reductions for veterans. Ask your host or property manager if discounts are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners typically offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, picking, and booking the rightrental home:

  • Select a group lead, select your vacation dates, and choose a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Pool
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the vacation property. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out what configuration is suitable for your vacation.
  • Some properties allow pets, and others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the property management company about your furry family members before booking.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Tips to have a wonderful stay:

  • Be sure you get the host's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your .
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent many issues.
  • Keep the property locked while you're away! Don't let thieves ruin your holiday.
  • Note any issues with the property upon arrival, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute arises.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors bothering your peaceful home life. Employ the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can frequently help. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Double-check the rental property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and scan for damages to contents or the property itself. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the property to record its condition.
  • Leave a review! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to compel future bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your review and help them have the best future vacation. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to remedy it.
