Tricks and tips to get the very best Cape Fear area vacation rental experience:

When to go & When to reserve a Bald Head Island rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in coastal NC. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is a good way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Reserve your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer discounts for veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for additional information.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide when you check-in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, travel guides contain coupons for local attractions, tours, restaurants, and shops.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • First and foremost, have your family choose the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration your group needs. Rose Cottage- Ocean View 4BR\/4BA high dunes home just steps to the beach! has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the property manager before you book your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation group.
  • Visiting for a single event? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Request information on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More tips for your visit:

  • Store the host's information in your smartphone.
  • To make sure that damages aren't attributed to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas when you arrive. message the rental manager right away to document any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or kitchen appliance. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor. Often, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Locals can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Make sure to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Please make sure to walk through the property one final time and scan for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a great vacation? Most rental managers make it easy for clients to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
