Tricks and tips for getting the perfect Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

Sticking to your rental home budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season along the coast of NC. To book the best vacation home within budget, we recommend reserving in Fall or Spring. You'll benefit from lower rental rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at your favorite beach.
  • The sooner you can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are booked early. Reserving your vacation rental 6-12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to search for and book your vacation rental.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance might be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or through a partnership between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting the perfect rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Start by choosing your a vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group requires. Winston Villa-Top Level-F Luxury 4br\/4baCondo at Islander Villas-Elevator, Pool has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible online. If they are not listed, reach out to the property owner before booking the vacation home. Remember that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to work out what bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction? Use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before booking
  • If your family is bringing pets, filter your search for a rental that allows animals. Get information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers require additional pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • We recommend storing the owner's contact information in your smartphone.
  • To make certain that no damages are linked to your visit, inspect the property for any problem areas during check in. Call the property manager right away to document any damages. If there is a dispute, having the recorded problems and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent lots of issues.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful visitors bothering your peaceful home. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great beaches and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to take kids for a treat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your vacation home while you are out. Protect your property!
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all personal belongings. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We recommend walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Hosts rely on good reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your review. Alternatively, if something went awry, other vacationing families will appreciate that you share your review find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
