Strategies for getting the best rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The best rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental property up to 12 months before your vacation is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental property.
  • Summer months are the most expensive season along the coast of NC. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some property managers offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which commonly costs anywhere between 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose the perfect rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Start by choosing potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. Hobbs Realty- Blvd Home w\/Private Pool, Elevator, and Den Area has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is normally accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email the host before reserving your rental. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • If your group is bringing pets, you will need a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for specifics on breed, weight, and type requirements. Note that some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to find nearby rentals.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

During your stay:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, stereo or WIFI setup. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief telephone call prevents quite a few difficulties.
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property when you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Make a record of any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that are helpful if a dispute is filed.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are usually a great source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can usually help. Who better to ask where to grab the best tacos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to make sure you've collected all personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did you have a terrific stay? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was out of order and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
