Welcome to your Home Away From Home on Carolina Beach!

First and foremost, one of our greatest priorities is that our home is exceptionally clean upon your arrival. Rest assured that we have partnered with an extremely highly regarded cleaning crew who has just as high of standards as we do.

We have also graciously supplied the kitchen with a enormous variety of cookware, accepting your group of up to 10 to make our home feel like yours during your stay.

The beach access can be seen from the front yard, just a short 5 min. walk straight down the road and onto the sand.

Our home has 5 bedrooms and 2 full baths. On the first floor there is 1 bedroom with a queen bed and 1 full bathroom with a shower. On the second floor there are 3 bedrooms with a king bed, 1 bedroom with two twin beds (twin trundle bed), and 1 full bathroom with a tub/shower. The bedroom with the twin trundle bed is part of a 3 room suite (the third room being a living room), along with one of the bedrooms with a king bed. These two bedrooms are ideal for a family with kids, or a group of family or friends who do not mind the shared space. There is a living room upstairs which comes in handy when members of the group want to spread out and relax away from the main floor's open concept living space. After all, you are on vacation!

Our home has two huge front porches -- on the first and second floor. We also have a back deck on the first floor off of the kitchen where we do our grilling! This property is set back off the road, canopied by trees, and is our favorite place to savor the outdoors -- in the shade, with a nice sea breeze.

So you may feel more prepared and aware of what we provide to you -- please read below:

Linens:
- Linens for 1 queen bed, 3 king beds and 2 twin beds (1 twin bed will be made up, and a second set of twin sheets will be left in the closet of the twin room for the trundle bed).
- Each bed receives 4 pillows (except the twin beds receives 2).
- Each bedroom will have an additional blanket in the closet.

Towels:
- 10 Bath Towels
- 10 Wash Cloths
- 2 dish towels in the kitchen
- 4 total hand towels — 2 per bath
- 2 total floor towels/bath mats — 1 per bath.

Cleaning Supplies:
- 3 laundry detergent pods
- 2 rolls of paper towels
- 1 new sponge
- 6 dishwasher detergent pods (save 1 for the morning of check-out)
- 3 garbage bags, plus a new one in the can
- 2 rolls of toilet paper per bath (4 total rolls)

As we mentioned, we have extremely high standards of cleanliness, and you are on vacation, so we plan to ask very little of you during your stay, but we do have a short list of items we ask for your cooperation on:

- If you will be staying with us on Sunday nighttime, please roll our trash and recycling bins to the curb on Sunday Nighttime. We greatly thank you!!
- Check out is at 10 am and your keyless entry code will expire then.
The housekeepers will be arriving to prepare the home for our next guests.
* If you are still at the property after check-out time, you will be charged a minimum $45 fee, or greater, depending on the delay you cause.
- The home should be left relatively clean. If excessive cleaning is required to prepare for our next guests, you will be charged an additional cleaning fee.
- Please gather all used sheets/pillow cases, kitchen dish towels, bath towels, hand towels and bathmats and place them in the laundry room.
* Please do not remove duvet covers, pillow shams or bed pads unless soiled.
- Please place all dishes in the dishwasher and start a load when you leave. If any items don’t fit, please hand wash, dry and return to cabinets. If dirty dishes are left, this significantly delays our cleaning crew and you will be charged a $45 fee.
- Please remove all personal food items from the refrigerator/freezer and cupboards upon your departure.
- Please place all trash and recyclables in the bins outside when you leave.

We hope you and your group make memories to last a lifetime!

Tricks and tips to get the very best Cape Fear area rental home experience:

Get the most from your budget:

  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Winter holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Summer months are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Reserve your Cape Fear area rental home in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for veterans. Remember to ask your host or property manager if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Property managers frequently offer their guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which generally will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel stay or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your host for more information.
  • Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area travel guides that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning and choosing the right Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • Choose vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family needs. Sleeps 10 in the heart of Carolina Beach! Walk to Beach! has 5 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise information about bedrooms and bed counts & types is generally available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before booking your rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You'll need to work out which bed configuration is suitable for your group.
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional fees may apply. Ask the host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.
  • Visiting for a specific attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby rentals.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. Make certain to inquire about wheel chair entry, pool lifts and specialized equipment needs.

Considerations for your stay:

  • Add the property manager's information to your phone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Hosts are available to help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
  • Lock your vacation home while you are away. Protect your property!
  • Note any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately contact the host. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often times, nearby homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can typically help. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Just before checking out, take a final walk-through to make sure you have not forget any personal items. Re-check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for any damage. We recommend inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, ensure that you take pictures of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did your family have a great time? Many vacation rental websites make it easy for customers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or host was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was out of order and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
