How to get the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Book your vacation home as early as possible. Rental schedules often open a year in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months in coastal NC. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation rental in Fall or Spring is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of acceptable homes.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines that include special deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your search:

  • First and foremost, have your family commit to date ranges and a spending budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration you need. SOUTHERN COMFORT: ON the BOARDWALK, OCEANFRONT, ELEVATOR, GATED, POOLS, PARKING! has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If you don't see them listed, call the property owner before booking your home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull out couches in living rooms. You'll need to establish what bed configuration is best for your vacation.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or could be applied to your invoice.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. Confirm all required amenities are included before reserving a rental

Some things to know before you go:

  • Take a copy of the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property. Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Protect the rental owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are out, just like you would back home.
  • Upon arrival, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the host. Record all coorespondence.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll enhance your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a fantastic resource to find the best local beaches.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • On check-out day, take a walk-through to make sure you haven't forget any personal items. Make sure to check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Please make sure to walk through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can. If the host isn't available, remember to take video of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a excellent vacation? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was amiss and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
