Finding the best rental home experience:
Getting the most from your budget:
- Book your rental in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
- Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many groups book their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
- Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property management company or host if your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
- Management companies and individual rental owners often offer guests an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for details.
- Often, management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which often include special offers, either offered independently by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.
Finding the best rental home in Holden Beach:
- First and foremost, have your family choose dates and a maximum budget.
- Determine how many beds and the bed configuration your family needs. Hobbs Realty - \"Southern Exposure\" is a spectacular oceanfront home with two living areas and opened floor plan. has 5 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms.
- Precise details about bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, reach out to the property manager before you book the home. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to work out which bed configuration is optimal for your trip.
- If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you are enamored with, search for properties that are either nearby, or those that cater to your requirements.
- Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with disabilities. Confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental.
- Do your family pets travel with you? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Pet fees or charges may be applied to your agreement.
Advice for your stay:
- Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your .
- To make certain damages aren't attributed to your visit, inspect the rental for any problem areas upon check in. Call the host right away to record any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded concerns and contact attempts will be helpful.
- Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask any questions during your stay.
- Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by permanent residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking regulations is the right thing to do.
- Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for bird watching?
- Ensure you protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home while you are out, just like you would at home.
- Re-check every room of the property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at departure. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
- Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
- After your trip, leave a review! Property managers rely on great feedback to inspire future reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your experience and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the manager had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded expeditiously to fix it.
