Tips to get the best Cape Fear area vacation home experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving and Christmas gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest rental home for your budget, we suggest reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
  • Some owners offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if discounts are available for your family.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost you 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship with the rental management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Selecting and booking the perfect Cape Fear area vacation home:

  • To start, have your group decide on dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and the configuration your group needs. Spectacular Oceanfront Beach House With New Pool! Reserve Your Seats Today has 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our Cape Fear area rental home search.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually accessible on booking websites. Otherwise, email or call the property manager before booking the rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms. You'll need to work out what is best for your vacation family.
  • If your family is traveling with pets, you'll need to find a pet-friendly rental. Make sure to ask for specifics on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a specific Cape Fear area destination you love, keep an eye out for properties that are either close by, or those that cater to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .

Know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, stereo or thermostat. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few problems.
  • Protect the owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Document any issues with the property during check in, and immediately send them to the property manager. We specifically recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if a dispute is filed.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Locals can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the fresh catch of the day, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all personal items on check-out day. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the rental a final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager isn't available, take photos of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great feedback to inspire more reservations. They'll be grateful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went awry, other families will will be grateful for your review find their best vacation rental. Please be fair with your feedback If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
