Please note that the yard is not entirely fenced.

Dogs may be allowed, pending host approval. Please advise of dogs attending. No other family pets allowed due to owner allergies.

Our top Rental home booking tips:

Sticking to a spending budget:

  • Summertime is high season in Oak Island. Booking in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your rental home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best rental properties are reserved very early. Reserving your rental property six - twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a discount.
  • Property managers typically offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which usually will cost you 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great local articles, visitors guides have discounts for nearby tours, shops, and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the bestvacation home:

  • First and foremost, have your group decide on the best dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Stylish Ranch Near Middleton Park & Dog Friendly! has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rentals search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed counts is normally accessible on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, contact the property management company before you book the vacation property. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is suitable for your vacation.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, but others don't. Acceptable types of family pet, weight and breeds may be restricted, and additional costs may apply. Ask the property management company about pet restrictions before booking.

Have a wonderful stay:

  • Get the property manager's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • During check-in, note any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the owner. Keep records of all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or thermostat. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent quite a few difficulties.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors can be an excellent source for finding the best local beaches.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking the property while you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all belongings. Re-check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • Did your family have a terrific stay? Most rental management companies make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear it. If anything was defective and they failed to correct it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
