Welcome to Starfish Cove, where you will relax in a peaceful neighborhood in the trees! Public Boat Ramp access is only a few blocks away and our yard will accommodate your boat trailer.  Your furry friend will appreciate jaunts to the beach and the famed Carolina Beach Boardwalk just 1.6 miles from home. This Boat Friendly location has no issues or restrictions for boat parking on the driveway or on grass on the side of the home that faces Otter Rd.  The Carolina Beach Mooring Field is close by, and the beach is just around the corner. There's something to adore for every family member at Starfish Cove: This delightfully decorated home provides modern furnishings, a cavernous entertaining area, user-friendly intelligent TVs, and numerous outdoor porches to relax and appreciate the coastal breeze. Golf Cart units are no problem, or just take a bicycle ride to the island stores and eateries.

Rental Policies:
In response to the increased incidence of credit card fraud, a valid government photo ID will be required for every reservation. A signed rental agreement is required: accepting House Rules on any online travel agency requires reading and acceptance of our rental agreement.

Arrival/Departure:
Summer Check-Ins (June-August) begin at 4 pm and are guaranteed by 6 pm
Off-Season check-Ins begin at 3 pm and are guaranteed by 5 pm
Check-out is by 10 am.
We adhere to this policy so please do not arrive early early or plan to delay your departure.

Pet Policy: Dogs Under 60 pounds Only. The first dog fee is included, each additional dog incurs an additional pet fee. Carolina and Kure Beaches are pet-friendly, but you must follow town guidelines.

Cancellation Policy:
- Free cancellation within 48 hours of booking
- After 48 hours of booking and more than 60 days out from arrival, a full refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee
- After 48 hours of booking and within 60 days of arrival, there will be no refund processed unless the dates are re-rented. If premises are re-rented, a refund will be processed less a $300 cancellation fee.

When to visit Carolina Beach & When to reserve a rental home:

  • Book your vacation rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rental homes during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • June, July, and August are the most expensive months along the coast of NC. To find the best value, try shifting your family's Cape Fear area vacation week to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and even October offer excellent temperatures, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Hosts and Property managers sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Ask your property manager if rate reductions are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to buy vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gas expenses.   • Go through the rental one final time and look for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, remember to take photos and video of the property to record its condition.

If your rental and/or property manager was terrific, they would love to hear about it.
