New beds and furnishings and completely refreshed bathrooms.

Painless beach access and only 6 block walk to downtown, the boardwalk and marina. Dining, shopping and nightlife abound. Take a walk around Carolina Beach Lake across the street or rent a paddle boat. 17x9 outdoor pool and assigned parking for 2 cars (max). Don’t forget the family pet as your modest dog (less than 30 lbs) is welcome with payment of a non-returnable pet fee, subject to restrictions. If you are choosing a pet friendly property, dogs are only allowed on the beach strand during the winter months. All family pets must be approved by Blue Water Realty.

About the Area

Located in Carolina Beach, this condo is on the beach. Federal Point History Center and Ocean Front Park are cultural highlights, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Carolina Beach Arcade and Good Hops Brewing. Carolina Beach Boardwalk and Odysea Surf and Kiteboard School are also worth visiting. Sticking to your budget:

• Book your vacation rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
• June, July, and August are the most expensive months in Carolina Beach. To get the best value, consider shifting your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer great temperatures, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during June, July, and August.
• Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager whether your group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
• Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer customers an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
• Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon checking in. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guides have money saving offers on local tours, shops, and attractions.

• Specific details about bedrooms and bed types is almost always accessible online. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you reserve the home. Note that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You'll need to determine what is best for your group.
• Some rental properties allow pets, but some do not. Acceptable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the property manager about pets before booking.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

• Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Take a printed copy, and save the instructions to your smartphone.
• Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message can prevent a lot of difficulties.
• Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by locking the property while you are away, just like you would back home.
• During arrival, document any issues with the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
• Respect the neighborhood. Frequently, nearby homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting noise limits and parking policies is the right thing to do.
• Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to charter a fishing boat, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for shopping?
• Double-check the vacation property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at departure. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
• Inspect the rental one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise walking through with the property manager whenever possible. If the property manager isn't available, ensure that you take video and pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
• Did your group have a great vacation? Many rental home management companies make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental property and/or property management company was terrific, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.
