Tricks and tips for getting the best Ocean Isle Beach rental home experience:

Finding your perfect rental:

  • The sooner you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best rental properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation home.
  • Booking your vacation home in Fall or Spring is an excellent way to save money on your vacation. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Some owners offer discounts or promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Ask your host or property manager if rate reductions are available for your family.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Often, management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines that include money-saving deals, either offered directly by local companies, or by way of a relationship between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Planning, selecting, and booking the right Cape Fear area rental:

  • Start by having your group commit to a vacation week and a maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and the bed configuration your group requires. Turtle Vista is a pristine 5 bedroom home w\/ private pool and widows peak has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly available online. If you don't see them listed, email the property manager before you reserve your rental. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds.
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or costs could be applied to your invoice.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? If so, use a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are available before reserving a rental

More considerations for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property. Store the host's information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a fireplace, intercom or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of problems.
  • Lock your rental while you are out and about. Protect your property!
  • To ensure that damages are not linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas when you arrive. text the property manager immediately to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking restrictions can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. You'll increase your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are an incredible source for finding the best local attractions.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • At departure, complete a final walk-through to confirm you have not forget anything. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Walk through the rental a final time and scan for damage. We suggest walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the manager is not available, take pictures of the property to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Many rental websites make it easy for guests to provide comments. If your property and/or property manager was great, they would love to hear it. If anything was wrong and they failed to correct it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
