Our top Cape Fear area vacation rental booking tips and tricks:

When to book & When to go:

  • Summertime is high season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your Cape Fear area vacation home in Fall or Spring to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during the Summer.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier you can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years Eve are excellent times to search for and book your rental.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective vacation rental company or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Booking websites typically offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local information, travel guide magazines have money saving offers on nearby restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Finding the best rental home in the Cape Fear area area:

  • Select a designated group leader, select your dates, and select a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the bed configuration your group needs. All the Views at Ocean Isle Beach, heated private pool, close to beach, great views has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is regularly accessible on booking websites. If not, call the property manager before you reserve the rental. Note that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which often includes sofa beds.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters with amenity lists.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, search for a rental that allows animals. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Usually, property owners charge additional pet fees.

More tips for your stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental. Store the manager's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • To make sure that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect the property for any problem areas during arrival. Make contact with the host immediately to report any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of problems and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or coffee maker. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief call prevents a lot of difficulties.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious visitors disrupting your home life. Practice the golden rule for common sense. If they like you, locals might even recommend great beaches and scenic spots you would've never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to find the best seashells, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks ruin your trip.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to confirm that you've packed everything at check-out. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the host isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition.
  • Remember to leave feedback! Property owners rely on great reviews to compel new bookings. They'll be thankful for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will appreciate that you share your experience find their best rental home. Be fair with your review. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.
