Located by the sea, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. Bald Head Island Lighthouse and Old Brunswick County Jail Museum are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Oak Island Golf Club and The Reserve Golf Club at St. James Plantation. Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a vacation home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are booked early. Booking your vacation home 6-12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our best tip for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable homes.
  • Some owners offer discounts for veterans and active duty military. It's always a good idea to check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your family before you book.
  • Booking websites frequently offer guests an option to purchase vacation insurance protection. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed time as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses.   • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to enjoy a steak with a view, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before you drive away, take a walk through the rental to confirm you've collected everything. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.

If your rental property and/or property management company was wonderful, they would love to hear about it.
