You have found the right home for your Bald Head Island vacation. Coconut's Castle has been welcoming visitors to Bald Head for over a decade on Vacation Rental By Owner and we look forward to welcoming you and your family!

About our home: 3br/3ba with sizable entertaining room plus porch and 4 season reading room. Sleeps 6 but we do have a blow up bed for any last min. visitors. Within the last year, we have upgraded the home to have hardwoods thru out the whole home, added an all new suite of appliances, modern living room furnishings by Sareid, a little art, a new six passenger golf cart and new paint. This is a very comfortable home near everything and ideal for the family get together and vacation.

About the Area

Located in Bald Head Island, this vacation home is near the beach. Kent Mitchell Nature Trail and The Clubs at St. James are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Caswell Beach and Carolina Beach. North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport and Bald Head Island Information Center are also worth visiting.   • Summer is high season in Bald Head Island. To get the best value, consider changing your vacation dates to the Spring or Fall seasons. May, September, and October offer warmer weather, less crowded beaches, and greatly reduced traffic. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner you can reserve a home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are booked very early. Reserving your vacation property 6-12 months before your vacation is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation home.
  • Owners sometimes offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Make sure to check with your host or property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.

  • Lock your rental while you're away. Keep your property safe!
  • Double-check every room of the vacation property to confirm that you've packed all belongings at departure. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property a final time and look for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the manager isn't available, ensure that you take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property managers rely on excellent feedback to propel future bookings. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something wasn't right, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective.
