Tips to get the perfect Carolina Beach vacation property experience:

Finding your perfect rental home:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking your vacation home in the Fall or Spring shoulder seasons is a good way to save on your vacation home. Rental rates are lower, and you'll find a larger selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer.
  • Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which generally will cost you between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for specifics.
  • Often, rental management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local companies, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to select the best vacation home in Carolina Beach:

  • To start, have your group commit to a vacation week and a budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. Steps to the Beach:Oceanfront - Pools - Prime Spot has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is normally available on booking pages. If they are not listed, email the property manager before booking the vacation home. Note that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches.
  • Are you visiting for a single attraction or event? If so, use a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • Remember to include your furry companions! Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or might be applied to your agreement.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental home.
  • Record any damages to the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the owner. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be beneficial if there is a dispute.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a hot tub, elevator or appliance. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief telephone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to rent beach equipment, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Ensure you protect the property owner (and your things!) by locking and securing the home when you are gone, just like you would back home.
  • Re-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all belongings at check-out. Check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental one final time and look for damage. We advise walking through with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, take photos and video of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a wonderful stay? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property manager was great, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was wrong and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
