Marker 57 - 5 Bedroom 4.5 Bath House, Holden Beach, Walk to Beach, On Intracoastal Waterway, Pool, Dock, Sleeps12

****New to the Rental Market****

****Please Note: There is a floating dock, but be aware that the waves can be huge and the water depth can get less than two feet deep at low tide. The float moves generously with the waves. Some boats will handle the waves okay with proper spring lines and fenders. Others should consider it too risky.****

Holden Beach home “Marker 57” is located on the Intercoastal Waterway with its own dock, pool, and a short approximate 5-min. breathtaking walk along the marsh to the beach and General Store. Being on the actual ICW is a lot different from a canal home, which is more typical. Marker 57 offers wide sweeping vistas of water, marsh, and nature, instead of feeling so surrounded by other homes. It offers a front row seat to watch the yachts traveling by and other boaters having fun.

The dock has a gazebo with plenty of seating, a sink, electricity, and lighting. Thoughtful owners have supplied kayaks, as this is a great place to use them! The owners also say that the fishing has proven to be charming. Due to the East/West orientation of the waterway here, Marker 57 gets both sunrise and sunset vistas that can be spectacular! Dolphins can often be seen cruising by on a regular basis.

The 50-acre marsh next to the home is a great natural asset for Marker 57. There is a magnificent tidal creek that curves right in front of the home and right beside the home. It provides a lot of bait for fishing and offers a fun, 1-mile round-trip around an island and into the waterway for kayaks.

The pool adds tons of fun to Marker 57. It is a nice 13x26 size and overlooks the marsh. The pool can be heated (for an additional fee) if you choose. The owner has placed regulation marks on the pool deck and included a Corn Hole game set for you to appreciate. The pool area also has its own hot and cold outdoor shower.

A Grandiose Central Hang-Out has been created on the ground level in the garage. If it is really hot or rainy, but you still want to be outside, this is the place to be! It’s extraordinary how nice this area can be when all three bay doors are open to the view of the marsh and creek! Open the front and back doors as well and let the breeze come through. In addition to room for two cars, there is a enormous sitting area with TV and a Ping-Pong area. There is a second laundry room with refrigerator and freezer, microwave, and air fryer, as well as a full bathroom with huge utility sink and bathtub. This area is called “Grand Central” due to its location between the dock and pool, people coming and going to the beach, and people in and out of the home. This is a great part of Marker 57.

Marker 57 has 5 bedrooms including, the bunk room. All 5 bedrooms have sizable TVs, handsome vistas, and direct access to the outside porches. 2 bedrooms have private full baths. 2 bedrooms have a shared full bath. There is a half bath in the hall near the bunk room. Plus, the full bath on the ground level. There is a tankless gas water heater that is designed to provide countless hot water for all 5 showers at the same time.

Cape Fear area rental booking tips:

Find your perfect vacation home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The best properties are reserved early. Reserving your vacation home six to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • To find the best value, try changing your family's Cape Fear area vacation dates to the Spring or Fall shoulder seasons. May, September, and October offer warm weather, less crowded beaches, and reduced traffic.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective host if your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guides which will include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship with the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

How to choose and book the best Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Select your vacation week and budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your group requires. 5BR\/4.5 BA House,Holden Beach,Walk to Beach,On ICW, Pool, Dock, Sleeps12 has 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our rental home search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is usually accessible on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the property management company before you book your rental. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches and bunk beds.
  • Are you bringing the family pet? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Type of pet, size and breeds may be limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement! Additional fees or charges applied to your agreement.
  • Looking for particular amenities? Most rental search websites include search filters for amenities.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. Confirm all necessary amenities are included before reserving a rental.

Have a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the manager's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Protect the property owner (and your things!) by keeping the rental locked up when you are away, just like you would at home.
  • To make sure that no damages are attributed to your stay, inspect for any problem areas during arrival. Speak to the host right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like obnoxious vacationers bothering your peace. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great restaurants and attractions you would have not otherwise known about!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can often help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the rental property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Check bathrooms, garages, and back yards for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a great time? Most vacation rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
