Tricks and tips for getting the best Wrightsville Beach vacation property experience:

When to visit & When to reserve a Cape Fear area rental home:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The sooner your group can book, the easier your search will be. The best vacation homes are booked early. Booking your vacation home up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and book your vacation rental.
  • June, July, and August are high season in the Cape Fear area area. Reserve your Cape Fear area rental in the Fall or Spring to enjoy warm weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable or unaffordable during June, July, and August.
  • Some hosts offer special rates for veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if special offers are available for your group before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer renters an option to purchase trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which commonly will cost you 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides which include coupons, either offered independently by local businesses, or by way of a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group requires. Beachside Cottage Steps From the Ocean! has 6 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed types is generally available online. If they are not listed, contact the property manager before booking the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which usually includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what is optimal for your vacation.
  • If your group is traveling with pets, you'll need to book a rental that allows animals. Request details on breed, weight, and type requirements. Some hosts require additional pet deposits and fees.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area attraction you love, look for properties that are either close by, or those that cater especially to your desires.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for the less-mobile. .

Considerations for your stay:

  • Take a copy of the host's phone number and entry/exit procedures for your rental property. Put the manager's information in your smartphone.
  • Hosts are great sources of help! Feel free to ask questions during your stay.
  • Lock your rental home while you are out and about. Keep your property safe!
  • Record any issues with the property during check in, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that can be beneficial if damages are attributed to your stay.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like troublesome visitors disrupting your home life. Employ the golden rule for best judgement. Happy residents may even recommend great restaurants and places you would have never otherwise known about!
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for BBQ?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, take a walk through the property to confirm you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Document the condition of the property at check-out. We recommend taking a video during your final walk-through.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Hosts rely on excellent reviews to propel new reservations. They'll be thankful for your review. Alternatively, if something wasn't as described, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best rental home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the host had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
