About this Property

  • Sleeps 6
  • 3 Bedrooms
  • 2 Bathrooms
  • Private vacation home
  • Approximately 1500 square feet

Amazing beach home only a short walk from the ocean! A great location at a great North Carolina beach! The neighborhood is beautiful and peaceful and the neighbors are friendly. The beach is pretty and just a straight walk or drive down the road. We can hear the ocean waves at nighttime. Generous front porch with rocking chairs and table. Extensive master bedroom with handsome bath. Coffee ready to go, a library, cable TV in living room. Please note that there is a main road to cross - E. Oak Island Dr. - to get to the beach. It gets busy during rush hour and high season. It’s better to take a right there and then a left on 73rd St. to avoid waiting. Parents will need to accompany kids if walking.

About the Area

Located near the beach, this vacation home is in Long Beach, a neighborhood in Oak Island. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Caswell Beach and Bay Beach, while Smith Island Museum of History and Franklin Square Gallery are cultural highlights. Traveling with kids? Consider Bald Head Island Information Center and North Carolina Maritime Museum at Southport. Kayaking and water skiing offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and ecotours nearby.

Strategies to get the perfect Oak Island rental home experience:

Sticking to a spending plan:

  • To book the most suitable rental home for your budget, we highly recommend reserving in the Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, gorgeous weather and the absence of large crowds at your favorite restaurants and activities. Many vacationers use this method to reserve larger homes, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with family and friends at the beach.
  • The earlier your group can reserve a home, the easier your search will be. The most desirable rental homes are reserved early. Reserving your rental up to 12 months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental property.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager if your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction.
  • Property managers often offer their guests an option to buy trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed days as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a bank account-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for specifics.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine upon checking in. If your rental home doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides have offers and deals for local accommodations, restaurants and tours.

Use filters to narrow your rental search:

  • Start by having your group agree to dates and a maximum budget.
  • Determine how many bedrooms and the bed configuration your group needs. Beautiful Beach Getaway! Walk to Beach! Sleeps 6. has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts & types is commonly available on booking websites. Otherwise, reach out to the property manager before reserving the property. Remember that most listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds and bunks. You will need to establish what is best for your vacation family.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area beach you are enamored with, keep an eye out for rentals that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Make certain to ask about specialized equipment and wheel chair accessibility.
  • Some properties allow pets, and some do not. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added costs may apply. Ask the owner about pets before booking.

More considerations:

  • Add the host's contact information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • Make a record of any issues with the rental upon arrival, and immediately contact the property manager. We specifically recommend e-mails and text messages, as they usually contain time stamps that are helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a hot tub, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent quite a few problems.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make local friends, and resident neighbors are often an excellent resource to find the best local spots.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Locals can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let burglars ruin your family vacation.
  • When it's time to leave, take a walk-through to make sure you didn't forget any personal items. Make sure to check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and look for damages to contents or the property itself. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the host isn't available, ensure that you take video of the property to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Most rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your property and/or property management company was fantastic, they would love to hear it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to correct it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make a note as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
