Strategies to get the best rental home experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can reserve a vacation rental, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved early. Booking your vacation property up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Winter holidays are excellent times to plan and book your rental home.
  • Summer is high season in Carolina Beach. To get the most suitable vacation home within your budget, we strongly suggest booking in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, greater selection, beautiful weather and the absence of giant crowds at the beach and popular attractions. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve a beach front rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer months. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with family and friends at your favorite beach.
  • Some property management companies offer promotional rates for veterans and active duty military. Ask your property manager if special offers are available for your family before you book.
  • Property management companies usually offer customers an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost 1% - 5% of the booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for details.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area visitors guide magazine when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, travel guides contain money saving offers on nearby accommodations, tours and attractions.

Planning, picking, and booking the best Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Start by having your group select vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Determine how many beds and the configuration your family needs. Comfy and tasteful 4 BR \/ 3 Full Bath Duplex. All linens and towels included has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. If not, contact the property owner before reserving the rental. Remember that most listings specify maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes sofa beds in living rooms. You will need to determine what configuration is optimal for your group.
  • Do your family pets travel with you? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your rental agreement! Additional pet fees or charges applied to your contract.
  • Does your group require special amenities? Most rental websites include search filters for amenities. Use these filters to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Proper accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for those with limited mobility. .

More considerations:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your . Store the host's contact information in your smartphone.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents lots of difficulties.
  • Keep your rental home locked while you're away! Don't let burglars spoil your family vacation.
  • At Check-in, document any issues with the property and immediately alert the owner. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Respect your neighbors. Often times, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local! Residents can usually help you find the best spots in town. Who better to ask where to see a beautiful sunrise or sunset, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • On check-out day, complete a walk-through to confirm you haven't leave anything behind. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did you have a fantastic stay? Most rental websites make it easy for vacationers to provide comments. If your rental property and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it reasonably, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.
