Strategies for getting the best rental experience:

Cost saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Ocean Isle Beach. Book your Cape Fear area vacation in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • The earlier you can book a rental home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable vacation rentals are reserved very early. Reserving your rental home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to plan and reserve your vacation rental.
  • Some hosts and property managers offer special rates for veterans and active duty military. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Property management companies frequently offer guests an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which will generally cost between 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as evacuation costs or charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guides that include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship with the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Planning, picking, and booking your prefect Cape Fear area rental home:

  • Start by selecting the best vacation week and a max budget.
  • Determine how many beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Seaside Serenity: Your Coastal Escape Awaits you; 2 minute walk to beach has 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific information about bedrooms and bed types is regularly available on booking websites. If you don't see them listed, email or call the host before reserving the vacation property. Note that most properties list the maximum guest capacity, which typically includes sofa beds in living rooms.
  • Visiting for a single event or attraction? Try a map search to browse nearby properties.
  • Proper accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for persons with a disability. .
  • If your group is bringing pets, you'll need to book a pet-friendly property. Get details on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Note that some property owners charge additional pet fees.

Advice for a terrific stay:

  • Take a copy of the property manager's phone number and arrival/departure procedures for your rental property.
  • To ensure that no damages are attributed to your stay, record any problem areas upon your arrival. message the rental manager right away to document your findings. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be useful.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a garage door opener, elevator or washer/dryer. Contact your host. They are there to help! A brief text message prevents a lot of issues.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Residents can typically point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to get the best breakfast in town, have a great night out, or the best spots for fine dining?
  • Keep the property locked while you are away! Don't let crooks ruin your vacation.
  • Upon check-out, complete a walk-through to confirm you did not leave anything behind. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property a final time and scan for any damage. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can. If the host is not available, ensure that you take photographs of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a great time? Most rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide reviews. If your rental and/or property management company was wonderful, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was defective and they failed to fix it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your comments.
