Tricks and tips to get the best Cape Fear area rental experience:

Getting the best rental home value:

  • Reserve your vacation in Spring or Fall to get the benefit of beautiful weather while saving money and avoiding crowded roads, restaurants, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book a beach front vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season.
  • The sooner your group can reserve a vacation home, the better your selection will be. The most desirable properties are booked early. Reserving your vacation home up to 12 months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and book your vacation home.
  • Hosts sometimes offer rate reductions for active duty military and veterans. It's always a good idea to check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your family.
  • Booking websites usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost anywhere between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related issues or weather, as well as evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance might be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for specifics.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area travel guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Filter your rental search:

  • To start, have your group commit to trip dates and a maximum budget.
  • Decide how many beds and the configuration you need. Gone Coastal Upper Unit has 3 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If not, email the host before reserving your rental. Remember that most property listings specify maximum guest capacity, which usually includes sofa beds.
  • Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or ruin a vacation for guests that require the use of a wheelchair. .
  • If your family is bringing pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly vacation rental. Ask for information on breed, weight, and type restrictions. Some hosts charge pet deposits and fees.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Review arrival and departure procedures before leaving home. Add a note with the instructions to your phone, and take a printed copy.
  • During arrival, record any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Keep records of all correspondence just in case a dispute arises.
  • Property managers are great sources of help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Be respectful. Often, adjacent homes are occupied by local residents. Respecting late-night noise limits and parking rules reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can typically help. Who better to ask where to order the best nachos, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Lock your rental property while you are out! Don't let crooks spoil your vacation.
  • Re-check the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your family's items at check-out. Remember to check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and look for any damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager is not available, remember to take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • After your trip, leave a review! Property owners rely on good reviews to inspire more reservations. They'll be much obliged for your feedback. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other families will will be grateful for your feedback and help them have the best future vacation. Please be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the property manager could control the issue, and if so, whether they responded reasonably to solve it.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
