Welcome to Once Upon a Tide. Savor the spectacular sunsets from your own back porch! This 4 bedroom / 3.5 bath is located in Killegray on the dune ridge. The main home consists of 3 bedrooms, which are located downstairs. The first bedroom is a queen master suite. The 2nd bedroom consists of a king bed and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twins. The two bedrooms share a bath located in the hall. Upstairs is all about the view! The main living area, kitchen, dining and half bath are all located on the 2nd story. There is a balcony off of the living area that over looks the Atlantic Ocean. We also have a screen porch downstairs if you just want to get appreciate a peaceful cup of coffee. The crofter outside has a separate master bedroom and bathroom with a queen bed.

Find your perfect rental home:

• Summer months are high season in Bald Head Island. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation home in Fall or Spring months is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Many vacationers use this strategy to reserve larger homes, or to book an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unaffordable during June, July, and August.
• Book your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open 12 months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
• Some hosts offer discounts for active duty military and veterans. Remember to ask your property manager if discounts are available for your group before you book.
• Property managers often offer guests an option to buy trip insurance. Trip insurance, which normally will cost between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed trip time as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for details.
• Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area area magazine upon checking in. If your rental property doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. • Precise information regarding bedrooms and bed counts & types is often accessible on booking pages. If not, call the property owner before you reserve the rental. Remember that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which typically includes pull out couches in living rooms.
• Visiting for a single attraction or event? Use a map search to browse nearby rentals.
• Appropriate accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for guests with disabilities. Remember to confirm all necessary amenities are included before booking

• Keep your rental home locked while you're gone! Don't let thieves ruin your vacation.
• Double-check every room of the rental property to make sure that you've packed all of your belongings at check-out. Re-check bathrooms, dressers, and closets for hidden treasure. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
• Go through the property one final time and look for damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the manager is not available, take photos and video of the property to record its condition.

If your property and/or property management company was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words.
