Tips for getting the best rental experience:

How to get the best rental value:

  • In the Cape Fear area area, The earlier your group can book a rental home, the easier your search will be. The best properties are reserved very early. Booking your rental home up to twelve months before your vacation dates is recommended. Holiday gatherings are excellent times to plan and reserve your rental home.
  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserving a rental home in the Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation rental. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may qualify for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property owner or host if your vacationing group qualifies for a special promotion or discount.
  • Property management companies typically offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which will generally cost 1% - 5% of the base reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation costs or charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or additional gas expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local visitors guide when you arrive at the rental property. If your rental doesn't have a copy, you can find them at local shops and visitor centers. In addition to great information, travel guide magazines have deals for local accommodations and attractions.

Narrow your Search:

  • Choose a group leader, select your vacation week, and select a maximum budget.
  • Note the number bedrooms and the configuration your family requires. Reefs V D2 – Oceanfront condo, open floor plan, community pool & beach access has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed counts & types is usually available on booking pages. If you don't see them listed, reach out to the property management company before you book the home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull-out couches. You will need to determine what bed configuration is suitable for your vacation family.
  • If your family is vacationing with pets, you'll need to search for a pet-friendly property. Request information on breed, size, and type restrictions. Usually, property managers charge pet deposits and fees.
  • Does your group require specific amenities? Most websites include amenity lists and search filters. Filtering by amenity will allow you to quickly find the perfect rental.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for persons with a disability. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before booking.

Some things to know before you go:

  • Be sure you get the owner's phone number and check in/check out procedures for your rental property.
  • Hosts are available to help! Don't be shy to ask questions before, during, or after your stay.
  • Keep the property locked while you're gone! Don't let crooks ruin your holiday.
  • To ensure that no damages are linked to your family's visit, make note of any problem areas during check in. text the rental manager right away to relay any pre-existing damages. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be very helpful.
  • Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable. Be a good neighbor. You'll magnify your chance to make some new local friends, and resident neighbors are a great source for finding the best local restaurants, beaches, and hangouts.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Neighbors can frequently help. Who better to ask where to get the best seafood, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Don't leave anything behind! Just before you drive away, walk through the property to reconfirm you've collected all of your things. Make sure to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden treasure. Remove everything from the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Inspect the rental a final time and keep an eye out for any damage. We suggest inspecting the property with the property manager whenever possible. If the host isn't available, take photographs of the rental to record its condition at check-out.
  • Did you have a fantastic vacation? Many rental managers make it easy for vacationers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property management company was fantastic, they always love to hear your praise. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make a note as part of your comments.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
