Located on the southern end of North Carolina's stunning coastline, the Town of Oak Island offers nearly 10 miles of beachfront along the 12-mile-long Oak Island, from which it derives its name. The island itself is marked by the Atlantic Ocean to the south, and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) to the north. With its unique southward facing shoreline, beachgoers can savor elegant vistas of both sunrise and sunset over the ocean, all from the same stretch of sand! Experiencing these awe-inspiring vistas are no challenge either; with well over 100 complimentary public accesses to the beach and the ICW, Oak Island offers more accessibility to our greatest natural resource than any other coastal Town in the state of North Carolina! Located on the highly sought-after and peaceful west end of Oak Island, Seven Palms is uniquely positioned steps to the beach and a short walk to The Point.
Oak Island is less than one hour from Myrtle Beach, 30 mins. from Wilmington, NC and 10 mins. from shopping & dining in Historic Southport, NC.
You can get around the island by car, bicycle or even by golf cart. Golf cart units are available on the island but rent quickly. See the Seven Palms Guidebook for details or simply ask us.
