Tips and Tricks to get the optimal rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. Book your rental property in the Spring or Fall to get the benefit of gorgeous weather while saving money and avoiding crowds. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Reserve your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules usually become available a year in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many families reserve their Summer rentals during holiday get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Hosts sometimes offer promotional rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your property manager to see if special offers are available for your group.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners often offer renters an option to purchase vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which usually will cost between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for days missed as a result of medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as ensuing additional hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or extra gasoline expenses. Trip insurance is definitely a life-saver if the unforeseen occurs. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Often, property management companies supply Cape Fear area area visitors guide magazines which will include money-saving offers, either offered independently by local companies, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local shops and grocery stores.

Finding the perfect rental home in Carolina Beach:

  • Select your dates and maximum budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. ?Vitamin Sea 1 Block From The Beach? has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is normally accessible online. If not, call the property manager before booking the vacation property. Remember that most properties list maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull-out couches.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you love, browse properties that are either near by, or those that cater especially to your requirements.
  • Proper accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others don't. Allowable types of family pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added fees may apply. Ask your host about allowable pet guidelines before booking.

More considerations for your visit:

  • Add the property manager's contact information to your smartphone. Take a copy of arrival/departure procedures.
  • Upon check-in, make note of any issues with the rental property and immediately contact the property manager. Record all coorespondence.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, A/V setup or WIFI setup. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call can prevent a lot of concerns.
  • Respect the neighborhood. Often, nearby homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies reduces conflict and allows everyone to enjoy their day.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local resident! Neighbors can usually help. Who better to ask where to book the best tours, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Lock your rental property while you're out! Don't let crooks ruin your family vacation.
  • Just before checking out, take a walk-through to confirm you didn't forget anything. Re-check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your family have a terrific time? Most rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide feedback. If your rental property and/or property manager was great, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
