Vacation rental tips:

How to get the best rental home value:

  • Summer months are the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking your Cape Fear area vacation rental in Fall or Spring is one of our best tips for saving money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of suitable homes. Many vacationers use this method to find larger homes within budget, or to reserve an oceanfront vacation rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the Summer. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday vacation near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with loved ones at the beach.
  • The sooner your group can book a vacation rental, the better your selection will be. The most desirable rental properties are reserved very early. Booking your vacation home up to twelve months before your travel dates is recommended. Holidays such as Christmas and Thanksgiving are excellent times to search for and reserve your vacation home.
  • Veterans and Active Duty Military members may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your family qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to add trip insurance. Trip insurance, which usually costs between 1% - 5% of the base booking price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as ensuing additional evacuation charges, such as an unexpected hotel overnight or additional gasoline expenses. Trip insurance can be a a life-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Many property management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guide magazines which will include money-saving deals, either offered independently by local businesses, or through a partnership between the property management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area visitors guide and coupon books at local gas stations and shopping centers.

Finding the perfect rental home in Carolina Beach:

  • Note the number bedrooms and the bed configuration your family requires. ?Vitamin Sea 1 Block From The Beach? has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our vacation rental search.
  • Specific descriptions of bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is regularly available on booking pages. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking your home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes sofa beds. You will need to work out what is optimal for your vacation.
  • Does your family require particular amenities? Most rental websites include search filters with amenity lists. Use these to your advantage to find the perfect rental home.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or break a vacation for the less-mobile. .
  • Some rentals allow pets, and others do not. Acceptable types of dog or cat, size and breeds may be restricted, and additional charges may apply. Ask the owner about pet restrictions before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Review check in & check out procedures before traveling. Save the instructions to your smartphone, and take a printed backup.
  • To make certain that damages aren't linked to your family's stay, inspect for any problem areas upon your arrival. text the rental manager immediately to document any issues. If there is a dispute about legal responsibility later, having the recorded issues and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Ask questions. You may need instructions for a garage door opener, A/V setup or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many concerns.
  • Be respectful of your neighbors. Frequently, surrounding homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking policies is the right thing to do.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to find the best bike paths, have a great night on the town, or the best spots for crabbing?
  • Protect the property owner (and your stuff!) by locking and securing the home when you are away, just like you would back home.
  • Don't leave anything behind! Before departing, take a walk through the property to make sure you've collected all personal belongings. Check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • After your trip, leave feedback! Property owners rely on good feedback to inspire new reservations. They'll be much obliged for your review. Alternatively, if something went wrong, other vacationers will will be grateful for your feedback find their best vacation home. Remember to be objective. If something fell short of expectations, consider whether the owner had any control over the issue, and if so, whether they responded quickly to remedy it.
