Finding the best Cape Fear area vacation property experience:

Get the most from your rental budget:

  • Summertime is the most expensive season in the Cape Fear area area. Booking a rental in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation home. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of desirable properties. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook Winter holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday near the ocean? Christmas, Thanksgiving, and New Years Eve are great times to gather with friends and family at the beach.
  • Reserve your vacation home as soon as possible. Rental schedules usually open twelve months in advance (or in September just after Summer ends). Many families book their Summer rental homes during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • Some property managers offer special rates for active duty military and veterans. Check with your host or property manager to see if special discounts are available for your group before you book.
  • Management companies and individual rental owners usually offer renters an option to obtain vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for missed trip time as a result of personal medical-related emergencies or weather disasters, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel stay or additional fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen happens. Ask the property owner for more information.
  • Find a copy of your local Cape Fear area visitors guide upon arrival. If your rental doesn't have one, you can find them at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers. In addition to great local stories, visitor guide magazines contain money saving offers on nearby shops and restaurants.

Narrow your Search:

  • Start by selecting vacation dates and a spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration you need. Carolina Beach Home With Rooftop has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Specific information regarding bedrooms and bed types is generally accessible on booking websites. If not, contact the host before you reserve the home. Remember that most property listings specify the max. guest capacity, which often includes pull-out couches and bunk beds. You will need to establish what configuration is right for your vacation.
  • Are you visiting for a specific attraction or event? Try a map search to locate nearby properties.
  • Appropriate accessibility can make or ruin a vacation for guests with disabilities. Confirm all required amenities are available and included before reserving a rental.
  • Traveling with pets? Although a number of vacation homes allow pets or animals, guidelines and costs vary per property. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Make sure to ask before booking, and study your agreement thoroughly! Additional pet fees or costs may be applied to your agreement.

Tips to have a terrific stay:

  • Add the host's information to your phone. Understand and take a copy of check in/check out procedures.
  • During check-in, record any damages to the rental property and immediately alert the property manager. Record all correspondence in case a dispute arises.
  • Hosts are there to help! Don't be shy to ask questions during your stay.
  • Don't forget to respect your neighbors. Often, surrounding homes are filled by local residents. Respecting late-night quiet hours and parking policies can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Residents can frequently help. Who better to ask where to go for the best drinks, have a great night out, or the best spots for fishing?
  • Keep your rental home locked while you are away! Don't let burglars spoil your holiday.
  • When it's time to leave, complete a final walk-through to make sure you did not forget anything. Remember to check dressers, closets, and bathrooms for hidden items. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Record a video to document the condition of the property.
  • Did your group have a terrific time? Many rental websites make it easy for travelers to provide comments. If your rental and/or host was wonderful, they would love to hear about it. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
