Our top Carolina Beach rental home tips:

How to get the best rental value:

  • Book your rental as soon as possible. Rental schedules generally open twelve months in advance (or in September just after the Summer season ends). Many families book their Summer vacation rentals during Christmas and Thanksgiving get-togethers. Book before these holidays for best selection.
  • To find the largest vacation home within budget, we strongly suggest reserving in Spring or Fall. You'll benefit from lower rates, better selection, beautiful weather and the absence of large crowds at Cape Fear area restaurants, beaches, and activities. Many vacationers use this strategy to find larger homes within budget, or to book an oceanfront rental that would otherwise be unavailable during the high season. Speaking of the off-season, don't overlook the holidays for a Cape Fear area vacation! Who wouldn't love a holiday on the coast? Thanksgiving and Christmas are great times to gather with friends and family at your favorite beach.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your vacationing group qualifies for a price reduction or discount.
  • Property managers typically offer customers an option to add vacation insurance. Trip insurance, which costs between 1% - 5% of the base stay price, offers visitors reimbursement of their vacation costs for any missed vacation time as a result of personal medical-related catastrophes or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation costs, such as an unanticipated hotel or extra fuel expenses. Trip insurance can be a a welcome relief if the unforeseen occurs. Ask your property manager for program terms and fees.
  • Look for your local Cape Fear area area magazine upon arrival. If your rental home doesn't have one, you can find them at local shops and fuel stations. In addition to great information, visitor guides have coupons for local restaurants, attractions, and tours.

Use filters to search efficiently:

  • Begin by selecting potential vacation weeks and a spending budget.
  • Decide how many bedrooms and what type of bedroom configuration your family requires. Surfer's Bungalow! has 1 bedrooms and 1 bathrooms.
  • Precise details about bedrooms and bed sizes & counts is commonly accessible on booking pages. Otherwise, contact the host before booking the vacation home. Note that most listings specify the max. guest capacity, which frequently includes pull out couches in living rooms.
  • Traveling with pets? Many vacation homes allow animals, but guidelines and restrictions apply. Allowable pet type, breed, and size are often limited. Ask your property manager before booking, and study your rental agreement! Extra fees or charges could be applied to your contract.
  • If there's a particular Cape Fear area destination you are crazy about, keep an eye out for rentals that are either nearby, or those that cater especially to your needs.
  • Suitable accessibility amenities can make or break a vacation for persons with disabilities. .

Advice for a fantastic stay:

  • Be sure you get the property manager's contact number and entry/exit procedures for your rental. Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, television set or washer/dryer. Contact your property manager. They are there to help! A brief phone call can prevent many difficulties.
  • Lock your vacation home while you're out and about. Protect the owner's property and your things!
  • To ensure that damages aren't linked to your visit, make note of any problem areas upon your arrival. E-mail the rental manager immediately to report your findings. If there is a dispute about who is responsible, having a record of concerns and contact attempts will be valuable.
  • Be a good neighbor! You wouldn't like disrespectful vacationers bothering your peaceful home. Use the golden rule for best judgement. If they like you, locals might even recommend great local food and attractions you would have not otherwise known!
  • Speaking of neighbors... Ask a local resident! Local residents can often point you in the right direction. Who better to ask where to order delicious takeout, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Re-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all personal items at check-out. Remember to check garages, decks, and cabinets for hidden treasure. Clean out the refrigerator and take or dispose of leftovers.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damages to contents or the property itself. We recommend walking through with the property manager whenever you can (often this isn't possible). If the property manager isn't available, remember to take photos of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did your family have a wonderful vacation? Many rental websites make it easy for clients to provide comments. If your property and/or host was terrific, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to fix it within reason, or if the vacation rental wasn't as described, you'll want to make it a point as part of your feedback.

Victory Beach Vacations

Visitors who are on the hunt for the postcard-perfect vacation rental in the heart of the Carolina Beach or Kure Beach area will find an enticing selection and plenty of friendly customer service when they rent through Victory Beach Vacations. Based in Carolina Beach in the coastal Cape Fear region, Victory Beach Vacations has more than 100 vacation rentals in all shapes and sizes to ensure that every vacationing family can find their dream home away from home on the beach.   When you book your Cape Fear getaway with Victory Beach Vacations, the fun doesn’t end when you leave the beach, it continues with an array of privately-owned properties outfitted with all of the amenities needed for a fabulous beach vacation.   Jenna Lanier, General Manager, explains that her family first opened the rental and property management business in 2002. At the forefront of Victory Beach operations is Lanier’s mother, Caroline Meeks. Meeks is both the Broker in Charge and co-owner with husband, Buck Meeks, who manages the Field Services team with Lanier’s husband, Scott.   For nearly 20 years, the Victory Beach team has worked tirelessly to establish a network of top-of-the-line rental properties for Cape Fear visitors to enjoy. “As far as our properties go,” explains Lanier, “they are all updated, well-furnished and appointed. “We have always performed post-cleaning inspections and since the pandemic, have put freshly laundered duvets over all of the comforters between rentals.”   Lanier emphasizes how important the guests experience is “we strive to give our guests a relaxing, stress free, memorable vacation.” This emphasis on customer service has led to Victory Beach Vacations having a 4.8 Google rating with over 300 reviews by happy owners and guests. In addition to Victory Beach’s superior sanitation practices, the company offers properties for every type of visitor. Choose from luxury oceanfront houses and condos to more reasonbly priced 2nd row properties with oceanviews. Many properties include pools and hot tubs as well, perfect for outdoor entertaining, and many are dog friendly.   Lanier also notes that all properties are within walking or driving distance to Pleasure Island’s main attractions – Carolina Beach and Kure Beach. The former, as described by Lanier, is the more commercialized of the two destinations and features a boardwalk, outdoor dining options and a plethora of weekly activities including fireworks, live music, amusement park pop-ups, and movies under the stars. Kure Beach offers a more residential feel with its fishing pier, intimate restaurants and family favorite, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.More water fun awaits, too. “There is a harbor and a canal that feed into the intercoastal. We have several properties on the harbor so guests can bring their boat, kayak, [or jet ski] and travel between islands,” says Lanier.   A stay with Victory Beach Vacations is an annual pilgrimage for most. “A large percentage of guests are previous guests. Some even reserve the same property for the next year as they’re checking out,” Lanier says. “It’s almost like it’s their personal vacation home.”   Even before guests arrive at their vacation destination, the Victory Beach Vacations’ website greets them with a live beach cam and exquisite aerial footage of both Carolina and Kure Beaches.
