Booking the best rental home experience:

Money saving strategies:

  • Summer time is high season in Carolina Beach. Reserving a rental home in Spring or Fall is our favorite way to save money on your vacation. Rates are lower, and you'll find a better selection of acceptable homes.
  • Book your rental as early as possible. Rental schedules often become available 12 months in advance (or in September just after Summertime ends). Many groups reserve their Summer vacation rentals during Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Eve gatherings. Reserve before these holidays for best selection.
  • Active Duty and veterans of the US Armed forces may be qualified for special discounts. Be sure to ask your prospective property manager or host whether your group qualifies for a reduced rate.
  • Property managers usually offer their guests an option to obtain trip insurance protection. Trip insurance, which normally costs 1% - 5% of the reservation price, offers visitors reimbursement of costs for any days missed as a result of medical-related issues or weather, as well as hurricane evacuation charges, such as an unanticipated hotel overnight or extra gas expenses. Trip insurance can be a a bank account-saver if the unforeseen happens. Ask your host for details.
  • Many rental management companies and vacation rental houses supply Cape Fear area area visitor guides that include coupons, either offered directly by local businesses, or through a relationship between the management company and the business itself. You can also find Cape Fear area area magazine and coupon books at local grocery stores, shopping centers, and visitor centers.

Narrow your rental Search:

  • Select your vacation dates and spending budget.
  • Note the number beds and what type of bedroom configuration your group needs. Welcome to Bikini Bottom enjoy the ocean or pool. 1 block to beach. has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. If you need a larger or smaller rental, use our search.
  • Precise descriptions of bedrooms and bed counts is often available on booking websites. Otherwise, email the property manager before booking the rental. Note that most property listings specify the maximum guest capacity, which oftentimes includes pull out couches in living rooms. You will need to establish which bed configuration is best for your vacation family.
  • Visiting for a single attraction? If so, use a map search to find nearby properties.
  • Suitable accessibility can make or break a vacation for those with limited mobility. .
  • Some rental properties allow pets, but others don't. Allowable types of pet, size and breeds may be restricted, and added charges may apply. Ask your host about pets before booking.

More tips for your visit:

  • Be sure you get the owner's contact number and check in/check out procedures for your . Put the host's contact information in your smartphone and wallet.
  • Document any damages to the property upon arrival, and immediately e-mail them to the owner. We especially recommend texts and e-mails, as they usually contain built-in time stamps that can be useful if a dispute is filed.
  • Ask questions. You may want instructions for a fireplace, elevator or coffee maker. Contact your owner. They are there to help! A brief call prevents quite a few issues.
  • Respect your neighbors. Frequently, adjacent homes are occupied by permanent residents. Respecting quiet hours and parking regulations can make a stay significantly more pleasurable.
  • Don't forget to... Ask a local! Local residents can often help you find exactly what you're looking for. Who better to ask where to spend a rainy day, have a great night out, or the best spots for shopping?
  • Protect the owner (and your stuff!) by keeping the rental locked up while you are out, just like you would at home.
  • Double-check every room of the property to confirm that you've packed all belongings on check-out day. Check closets, dressers, garages, and bathrooms for hidden belongings. Clean the refrigerator and take any leftovers home.
  • Go through the property one final time and keep an eye out for damage. We advise inspecting the property with the host whenever possible. If the manager is not available, remember to take pictures of the rental to record its condition.
  • Did you have a excellent stay? Many rental home management companies make it easy for clients to provide feedback. If your rental and/or property manager was fantastic, they will likely appreciate your kind words. If anything was inoperable and they failed to address it in a reasonable manner, or if the vacation rental wasn't described correctly, you'll want to make it a point as part of your review.
